Ear and nose waxing

Price: $15

When it comes to signs of aging that men are better off not showing, growing hair in the nose and ears are at the top of the list. One effective way to combat their growth is waxing, a procedure that may seem intimidating at first, but is actually completely painless. What’s more, many people find it less painful than plucking individual hairs. The goal is not to remove all the hairs – after all, some inner nose hairs are necessary – but to keep them out of sight.

Curious to know how it's done?

  1. Using a special type of hard wax, a small ball of wax is placed on a wooden stick and allowed to harden slightly.
  2. The specialist then gently inserts it into the nostril, but only as deeply as the shape of the ball allows for safety reasons.
  3. At the right moment, the wax stick is removed along with the unwanted hair.
  4. Specialist centers use high quality waxes to make the process as comfortable as possible.
  5. Also, depending on your convenience, you can have both nostrils waxed at the same time or one at a time.

If you are concerned about the pain factor, most people find the process much less painful than expected and appreciate the self-confidence that comes from not having visible nose or ear hair. As for frequency, the standard recommendation is every 3-4 weeks. However, for more prominent areas of the face, such as the nose, some people prefer to wax every fortnight. Regular waxing allows the hair to thin over time, making each subsequent visit more comfortable.

Would you consider partial nostril hair removal?

This technique focuses on removing hair around the nostrils, making it less intrusive than full nasal hair removal. It targets the strands that often protrude and irritate the most. Also, sugar waxing can be used instead of waxing because the substance is not injected into the nasal cavity. Sugaring is known to be easier on the skin and often causes less discomfort than traditional waxing.

But if waxing doesn’t suit you, you have other options such as trimming. There are various tools, such as specialized trimmers and scissors, designed specifically for safe and effective nose hair removal.

At City Master’s salon, our professional masters will find the right procedure for you and get it done quickly and safely.

FAQ

No, it’s not recommended. Facial hair tends to be coarser, and the skin in that area is more sensitive. Removing coarse facial hair at the root can lead to unnecessary irritation. If you’re unhappy with your facial hair, consider consulting a doctor about laser hair removal instead.

Don’t worry; we’ve got you covered! We apply a small amount of hard wax to a small stick and gently insert it a few millimeters into each nostril. Once it softens, we remove it. It’s a painless procedure. It’s important to note that we don’t go too deep into the nostrils because some nose hair is necessary for protection. However, there are several advantages to nostril waxing, including easier breathing through the nasal passages (some have even reported it helps with snoring), increased self-confidence, and an enhanced ability to savor finer wines and cheeses!

Certainly, we’d be happy to take care of that for you. We use either hard or soft wax for this area.
